General Accounting Manager | Otis Elevator Co/United Technologies | Tucson, AZ

This position is responsible for leading the general accounting
department at Otis Nogales operations in performing a wide range of
functions and services crucial to the day-to-day operation of the
business including accounts payable, billing, payroll, general ledger
and other general accounting activities. The position will ensure that
effective management / financial controls are in place and maintained
including development of controls and processes that will meet the needs
of the business and ensure full compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
requirements for documentation and testing. The position will be
responsible for directing and actively participating in monthly
financial closings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate should have a bachelor(`9s
degree in accounting and preferably CPA certification and/or an MBA.
Minimum of seven years accounting experience, with three to five years
in a direct supervisory role, is required. The candidates should
possesses a knowledge of all aspects of accounting including general
accounting, general ledger, controls, accounts payable, billing,
payroll, inter-company accounting, financial reporting, and inventory
accounting in a manufacturing setting. Working knowledge of GAAP and UTC
financial policies and procedures, Sarbanes Oxley, as well as prior
audit experience is desirable.
The successful candidate should possess a strong process focus, in-depth
PC and mainframe skills. Strong communication skills are also required.
Fluency in Spanish required.
